CJR: The 60th Anniversary Issue

Founded in 1961 to encourage and stimulate excellence in journalism in the service of a free society, Columbia Journalism Review is both a watchdog and champion of the press. To celebrate the journal’s 60th anniversary in 2021, we collaborated with the editors to create a special issue of archival content spanning CJR’s rich history.

Organized thematically, the issue connects the dots across time to offer a clear view of the consistent challenges facing the field of journalism. We are honored to have worked alongside CJR for almost two of its six decades, and to contribute to its steadfast work.
